supporting youth
sport in Sutton Coldfield
BIDS DAY 2024
About
The Andy Biddle Youth Sports Foundation is a charity founded in Sutton Coldfield in remembrance of Andy Biddle, who was a great supporter of youth sport, especially cricket and football.
The aim of the charity is to help fund youth sport in Sutton Coldfield, and its surrounding areas, (where Andy played and coached sport frequently) for the public benefit.
We hold many fundraising events throughout the year and invite grant applications from youth sport coaches/ managers and young sporting individuals to be considered by the Trustees periodically.
So far, the charity has granted in excess of £30,000 to over 19 local sports clubs and individuals!
Purpose
Our purpose is to promote the participation of young people under the age of 18 years in amateur sport in Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas.
In 2018, when the charity was founded, our main aim was to fund sports coaches and mentors to attend accredited training schemes provided by the likes of the ECB and FA, which have been utilized effectively.
Since then we have also been keen to help sports clubs or individuals with funding to achieve further goals they may have!
